It took me a while to search the distant memory fog but suddenly it hit - I couldn't work out where I'd heard the organ riff before when listening to the Underworld song '8 ball'. Another compulsive song which I've played to death. Still love the Velvets - still love this song.

I'm a foetus, and I think that the Velvets are the most under rated bands ever, kids today don't know what music is, they think music is a space ship or a type of rare bird or something :(

@milnoid Neatly done, sir, neatly done. One of the unfortunate aspects of CDs is that this is so much shorter, and eliminates the interesting organ work that sounds so much like a skating rink. One can almost hear it echoing. I think that is what makes it so evocative. I guess the old world may be dead. |
