Free Friday Long Shots - We got through the weak Thursday card at Santa Anita hitting both P3 plays and one of the trifectas to get the week off cashing tickets. On to Friday: The 7th race is just begging for a long shot winner and we have three we like: #4, #9 and #10. We'll use all three as our Free Friday long shots and play an exacta: 4-9-10 over 3-4-5-9-10-12 is a very good $2 Exacta play (cost of play is $30). Here's the out line of our other plays: R1-- $32 Place Pick All R2-- $24 BalWaL (Early P4) R3-- $36 Baseline P6 Ticket R5-- $60 Tri Play R6-- $120 (less scratches) P3 races 6-7-8 R7-- $60 Tri Play ($24 play if AE scratches) ...

Weak Card begins our New Week - This card is not weak, it's almost helpless to start off our new week at Santa Anita. Just skip the first 5 races. As we suit up for all of them, the opportunity to make money on Thursday appears to be in the last three races. We'll play two Pick Three plays covering races 6-7-8 at $90 each and also venture two $48 trifecta plays, one in the sixth and another in the eighth. Our BalWal will be a $25 wager covering the final P4. We need to get lucky on Thursday to start the new week in the win column again!...

$65,372 P6 Carryover & Best Card of the Meet! - At The Track Advisory It was already the best card of a great meet this winter at Santa Anita, now we have a $65,372 Pick Six Carryover to boot! Most of the races have 10 or more runners going and the smallest fields still have eight entries. What a terrific 10-race card and following our Free Friday Long Shot winner (our Pick #4 My Joycie cashed for $25.60 to Win and $7.80 to Place), everyone should have a thick bankroll going into Saturday's great racing at Santa Anita. We're putting $446 of our winnings on the line as follows: R1-- $32 Place Pick All R2-- $25 BalWaL Early Pick Four R2-- $60 Trifecta Play R3-- $60 Trifecta Play R4-- $48 Trifecta Play R5-- $36 Baseline P6 Ticket R7-- $60 Trifecta Play R8-- $125 Pick Three (races 8-9-10) Good Luck on Saturday! Good Card on Friday & Free Friday Long Shot - It's a good card for Friday at Santa Anita and we'll try to go "Back to Back" with P4 winners on our BalWal play, having won on Thursday. Our Free Friday Long Shot plays prominently in our P6, PPA, and TBX. We like #4 My Joycie in the fourth at 8:1 morning line. Another attempt to go "Back to Back" following our Free Friday Long Shot winner last week. $239,519 Double P6 Carryover! - No one hit the P6 on either Thursday or Friday at Santa Anita, resulting in a huge $239,519 Carryover into Saturday's card. We're spreading in the sixth and eighth on our small $36 P6 ticket. The winner should collect nearly $2 million! We're going with three $27 trifecta plays (races 2-4-9) and three $60 trifecta plays (races 6-8-10). Everyone should have a nice bankroll for Saturday following our Free Friday Long Shot winner the boys collected $2200 on that one! Good luck on Saturday and anytime you're At The Track!...

$58,316 Pick Six Carryover for Saturday! - Saturdays 9-Race card at Santa Anita features yet another Pick Six Carryover. I expect the P6 Pool to be around $750,000. It's always fun to here about someone hitting a large 'life changer" Pick Six. It's even more fun when 74 separate people hit the P6 for about $5700 each like happened a few days ago. We'll go with a $32 P6 play and hope our selections hold on. Good luck on Saturday and anytime you're At The Track!...

9-Race Holiday Card at Santa Anita on Monday - Sunday was one of those good ones as our Pick Three paid $916.40! Race Seven was indeed the key as we had thought with our "All" leg paying $18.80. I felt pretty good after our long shot won the sixth (paying $43.20). We were sitting on a nice winner! Monday looks like another fun and profitable day At The Track. First Post is 12:30 PST. $102,596 Pick Six Carryover on Sunday - Look for Sundays Pick Six pool to approach $1,000,000 at Santa Anita as $102,596 rolls over from Saturday. Race Seven is totally WIDE OPEN as any one of the 10 starters could win. This race appears the Key to the P6 and other exotic wagers. I'm playing two large P3 tickets on Sunday covering the sixth, seventh and eighth races and I'm "Alling" the seventh on both tickets! Good luck on Sunday and anytime you're At the Track!...

Just Another Winner! - Don't know what it is about the final race at Santa Anita, but we like it! Our $633 Trifecta win capped off a good day on Friday! Saturday presents another great racing day with big fields and many long shots with WIN potential. I really like the 9-race card and will be playing as follows: R1-- $24 Place Pick All R2-- $36 Early Pick Four (races 2-3-4-5) R4-- $36 Baseline Pick Six Ticket R4-- $60 Trifecta Play R6-- $25 BalWaL Late Pick Four R6-- $50 Pick Three (races 6-7-8) R7-- $60 Pick Three (races 7-8-9) Good Luck on Saturday and anytime you're At The Track!...

12/26/11 Opening Day at Santa Anita! - My new year always starts a little early with Opening Day at Santa Anita on 12/26/11! It's a terrific 9-race card with full fields and some great competitive races. I always expect a surprise or two and some very good prices to make the wagering lots of fun. 8 of the 9 races (all but race one) are certainly playable from a gambling perspective. The four races offering the most potential value are the fifth, sixth, eighth, and ninth. Good luck on Monday and Happy Holidays from the boys At The Track!...

Two Huge Carryovers on Sunday Closing Day! - How's this for Closing Day at Hollywood Park? - $183,593 Players Pick Five Carryover must be paid out on closing day. The best 50c wager in horse racing as the takeout is only 14%! It is played over the first 5 races of the day. I expect this pool to be huge for the closing day payout! - $93,036 Pick Six Carryover and closing day mandatory payout! It's a full afternoon of racing with a 10-race card and Closing Day at Hollywood Park is the last Good Chance to make a big score before the holidays! Our "Best Bets Pkg" provides you a way to wager a small amount with our "must use" selections. Our recommended plays are typically small enough for you to add a horse you like as well, but I recommend never leaving one of our selections out. Over the years I've found it very profitable to play "All on Top" Trifectas on Closing Day. I use all the horses in the win position with my three Top Selections under in the Place and Show positions. C...

Pick 3's at Hollywood Park - It's daytime racing again this Friday at Hollywood Park with First Post at 12:30pm PST. I'm going with 3 Pick three plays on Friday and each include one or two "ALL" legs. Pick Three for Races 4-5-6: In the first leg, I think I know the winner, so he's a single. The second leg is a large field (12 entries)and I find it very difficult to settle on a pace I can be comfortable with so many variables, in fact almost anything can happen here, so it looks like a great "All" leg to me. In the third leg I can pretty easily eliminate three of the runners, so I'll use 5 horses and two of them are good long shots. Makes for a very good $60 play. Pick Three for races 6-7-8: Going with 2 separate tickets. The one most risky will be with a horse I like (not the favorite) as a single in the first leg to All - All in the final 2 legs. The more likely winner, but likely lower payout will be using the single on the back end in leg 3 with All- All in the ...

On to Friday: First Post 12:30pm PST no more Friday NIGHT racing this year at Hollywood Park.. Every now and then you spot a First Time Starter, you like at a big price and 15:1 morning line looks real appealing to me .especially for slow footed favorites and I well remember Cox's Ridge from more youthful days in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I haven't found any of the off spring half as good, but can easily support this one in Race 5 #8 Frannie at 15:1 Morning Line. Good luck on Friday and anytime you're At The Track! ...

$7392 PPA Win on Friday! - We normally play $32 or $36 on the Place Pick All, but on Friday I felt we had it pretty well covered with a $24 play. I guess we did! In fact we had both first and second in the second and fifth races so we got paid 4 times for $$7392! I love the PPA! On to Saturday: I don't have a lot of real long shots I like on Saturday, but in 3 races (5th-6th-8th) my first position Top Pick is 5:1 or more. I like days like this where you've got a double digit winner as it plays terrifically in the Doubles and Pick Threes. I think the final Pick Four could be a whooper and we'll take our BalWaL play there. We'll have a large number of small plays on Saturday at Hollywood Park. Good Luck!...

Under the Lights Friday Night at Hollywood Park - It's night racing again on Friday at Hollywood Park. First Post 7:05pm PST. We're off to a small profit to start the week wagered $212 on Thursday and got back $584, thanks to our early P4 win, which included our long shot winner in the fifth which paid $49.40. For the everyday horse player, wager selection is every bit as important as the handicapping selections. Friday's card is absent of many big priced horses worth taking a leap with, so it lends itself to one of my favorite strategies 3 horse over 4 horse exacta plays. I like to go $4 on this wager making the total bet $36 (just love to stay under $40). We'll have six $36 exacta plays for Friday night structured like this: ABC over ABCD is a $9 play , done 4 times equals $36. We'll have six of these, so the total outlay will be $216 and very likely deliver another winner. In addition we'll do both the early and late P4's ,as well as, another $36 on each the P6 and PPA. $212 to start the new week at Hollywood - We'll invest $212 at Hollywood park on Thursday to hopefully start the week on the right side of the ledger. We'll play both the early and late P4's, the PPA, the P6, and 2 small trifecta plays (the second and fifth races). Let's take a closer look at a couple races: Race Two: On my first pass it looked like #8 Peppy Bolly much the best of this group. Closer examination reveals two outstanding "first time starters", the 6 & 8, plus 2 outstanding long shots. I'll use the 8 and one of the first timers on top with the long shots under. Certainly worth a $24 play, as it could easily return 10 times or more the amount ventured. Race Five: Here I'm using the horse which "should" win with 2 very good prices that "could" win. It's always a debate I have with myself on whether it's best to box the three horses in an exacta or use the three in the win and place position over All in a trifecta play. As there are a lot of long shots in a big field (eleven horse...

P6 Carryovers at Hollywood & Golden Gate - Hollywood Park: It's under the lights at Hollywood Park as they go back to Friday night racing. First Post will be 7:05 pm PST. We're off to a winning start to the Meet, thanks to our trifecta win on Thursday in the 5th. There is a $39,266 Pick Six Carryover to spice up the Friday night card. I'm going with singles in the sixth and seventh, using two horses in the third and eighth, and going with 4 horses in the difficult fourth. In addition, our BalWaL will be a small P3 covering races 4-5-6 and trifectas in the fifth, sixth, and eighth. I'm throwing in a small Superfecta play in the third. Golden Gate: Wow, they haven't hit the Pick Six in well over a week of racing and the Carryover is up to $335,167. Again we'll take a small, but smart shot at it. Racing starts at 12:45pm PST and it's certainly worth taking a small gamble. Good Luck on Friday and anytime you're At The Track!...

Opening Day at Hollywood // $100K P6 Carryover at Golden Gate - Two big happenings on Thursday: #1 -- Opening Day at Hollywood Park There are lots of horses running over the last 5 races at Hollywood Park (my Favorite Racetrack) and I expect the late P4 and final P3 to be very good payouts. I'm also playing trifectas in the second, fifth, and sixth. #2 -- Over $100,000 Pick Six Carryover at Golden Gate No one has hit the Pick Six there in over a week, so the Pool is getting downright big. Saturday is Breeders Cup! - Friday Breeders Cup Recap: It was a very exciting day and considerably "less chalky" than the predictions! $332 invested returned $1216 thanks to our Trifecta win in the sixth ($36 got $458) and our winning P3 ticket (races 6-7-8), yes we had the $42.40 horse in our selections! Saturday at the Breeders Cup looks even more promising, and we'll play the P5, P6, Early and Late P4's, three or four trifectas, at least one Superfecta (in the classic), and 2 key Pick Three plays. I love the fact you can play 50 cent increment bets in the exotics! It allows you to afford to play more races and you can also play more where you think it's right! Breeders Cup Friday/Saturday! - On Friday November 4th we see the Fillies and Mares, then on Saturday November 5th it's the males! The 2 best days of the year to make a Big Score. Is it difficult? Yes, but when you have them lined up correctly the payoffs can be downright huge! In a review of my 10 largest winning tickets over the past 20 years, amazingly, 5 of them come from "Breeders Cup" races! Here are the LARGE Breeders Cup winners: 1- Pick Three -- $108,000+ 2- Superfecta -- 62,000+ 3- Trifecta -- 29,000+ 4- Trifecta -- 26,000+ 5- Pick 4 -- 17,000+ When you consider, I play 4 or 5 days per week the year round, it puts the 2 days of the Breeders Cup in perspective. Well, here we go again, $50,627 rolls over from the Friday pool into the big weekend Saturday 9-race card and it's a good one! The most solid single appears to be in the final race nine, where #12 Unzip Me looks a head above the field. We didn't say "head and shoulders", because I also give the #1 and #8 a shot, but the 12 is definitely our most comfortable single in our $36 Baseline P6 Play. Only One Week Away from Breeders Cup! - It's hard to believe The Breeders Cup is but a week away, but it sure is and we'll all be glued to Churchill Downs once again this year. It is definitely the best day of the year to play the horses. Why? #1 - Best horses in the world compete in all categories #2 - Largest Wagering Pools of the year #3 - Huge pay outs! It wasn't that many years ago I remember cashing a winning one dollar Pick Three ($125 Play) for over $100,000. The guy sitting next to me cashed the same winning ticket , only for $2 ($250 play) for over $200,000. Last Three Look Real Good! - The new Four -Day week starts on Thursday at Santa Anita where we'll venture about $300 to get the week started off right. Those of us who handicap the year round and play 4 to 5 days per week appear to "see it all' over the course of the years. Some days the selections are almost painful to finally resolve at a opinion, and other days they leap off the pages. Terrific 10-Race Card at Santa Anita on Saturday - A terrific 10-race card at Santa Anita on Saturday and in particular the last 5 races are just Great! Very best wagering races are races 7, 9, and 10! I expect the final P4 to be very handsome as there are no less than 9 long shots (some very long) with win potential! One of my favorite situations is when my first three picks are each far from being the favorite or even second favorite. Such is the case in race 10. If I'm right , we all have a big Saturday! Here's my line up for the Saturday plays: R1-- $32 PPA R5-- $36 Tri R5-- $36 Baseline P6 Ticket R7-- $60 Tri R7-- $25 Late P4 (50cent BalWaL Play) R9-- $60 Tri R10-- $48 Tri...

LARGE P6 Carryovers at Santa Anita & Belmont! - Both Belmont Park & Santa Anita feature large Pick Six Carryovers for Thursday each should exceed $500,000! I'll take a small shot at each one, $48 ticket at Santa Anita and $16 at Belmont. Remember, it's best to venture just a little, and when you hit you are Way Ahead of the Game .try to hit it with your selections, not buy it with super large tickets, as many of those end up in the trash heap. At Santa Anita, race five looks the toughest, as any one of five could be the winner and I also believe the short field in race seven has four in it with a good chance .we'll know for sure by late Thursday afternoon. At Belmont, the weather is the big question as it's 50/50 for rain again. I'm playing a very small ticket there as follows: R4-- 8 or 11 (one of these won't run depending on track conditions) R5-- 3 or 15 (same reason) R6-- 1-7 (both of these should go) R7-- 12 or 14 (track conditions) R8-- 3-5-6-8 ...

Holiday Racing on Monday at Santa Anita! - Racing continues at Santa Anita on Monday, First Post 1:00pm PDT. It's another terrific 9-race card in which we'll venture a large bet ($94.50) on the early Players Pick Five because we feel we have a couple very solid singles and we're spreading in the other 3 races. The best value races appear to be the fifth, sixth and seventh where we'll venture $1 Trifecta plays in the fifth and seventh (each $60 plays) and play a $10 Exacta Box in the sixth ($60). You may strongly consider playing a Pick Three on these 3 races using our selections. Our BalWaL play will be the late Pick Four, a $15 play....

$86,557 Pick Six Carryover at Santa Anita! - This meet has started with some of the toughest races we've seen in a very long while .not many winners walking around so far, but hope springs eternal for the horse player. I look for more Large Pays on Sunday, not the least of which will be the Pick Six winner. $86,557 rolls over from Saturday, so the Sunday P6 Pool will be big! We'll throw $366 at them on Sunday like this: R1-- $36 PPA R1-- $24 Tri R2-- $24 Tri R4-- $36 Pick Six R4-- $48 Tri R6-- $60 P3 R6-- $60 Tri R7-- $18 BalWaL Superfecta R9-- $60 Tri Good Luck on Sunday and anytime you're At The Track!...

$23,109 P6 Carryover for Friday at Fairplex - $23,109 carried over on Thursday from Fairplex's Pick Six. We'll try and take it down with our $36 P6 play, like we did on Sunday! The best wagering races come early in the eleven race card. I'll be playing $24 Superfecta plays in the second, third, and fourth. The balance of our Friday activity will be as follows: - $16 on the Win Pick 9 - $18 on the Early P4 (races 2-3-4-5) - $20 on the 50 cent Players Pick Five (races 3-4-5-6-7) - $16 on the final Pick Four It looks like one of those "bet a little, Win a Lot" days. Huge Double P6 Carryover at Fairplex on Thursday! - No one ht the Pick Six at Fairplex on Sunday or Wednesday! The P6 Carryover is $143,230! Thursday is a good day to take a small but good shot as the Pool could be close to $1,000,000! I'm going with the obvious singles in races 5-6-7 and spreading in races 4-8-9. Race Eight will likely decide the big winner on Thursday, as about any one of the 8 entries could win. Here's what we're doing: Race 1 - $16 win Pick 9 Race 2 - $18 (50 cent) early P4 Race 4- $24 Baseline Pick Six Ticket Race 5- $60 TBX (3 big prices) Race 6- $25 Play (50cent P4) Race 9- $60 TBX (3 long shots and 2 of them are huge!) First Saturday at Fairplex - It's back to Fairplex, my least favorite racing meet of the year, although we cash some of our biggest tickets there every year! Lots of very low priced chalk, occasionally interrupted with absolute huge bombs. It's a 5/8 mile track with almost continuous turns, definitely a "Jockey's Track". They do offer some terrific wagering opportunities: - Three 50 cent Pick Fours each day - The traditional $2 P6 on the final 6 races of the day - A $1 Win P9 covering the final 9 races. The traditional $2 P6 paid over $20,000 (6 of 6) on Friday and 7 of 9 on the $1 win P9 paid a few hundred ..we'll see lot's of carryovers! I think we'll make a few hundred on Saturday. Wednesday Closing Day at Del Mar - The best Meet we've seen in ten years at Del Mar closes on Wednesday. I expect the meet to close as in began with lots of great prices! It's a very good 10-Race card and the Pick Six pool must be fully paid out a good day to play it. Due to the many good prices included in our selections, we're playing a little stronger than normal with six trifecta plays (one $24 and five $60). Our final BalWaL play of the Meet will be the late P4, a $36 play. We'll also venture $36 on the Pick Six and $48 on the PPA. Orders received today will be filled today. It's always a good idea to get them early and look them over. Good luck in our final day at Del Mar for 2011!...

$273,833 P6 Carryover for Labor Day at Del Mar! - The holiday crowd could drive the P6 pool up to $1,000,000 on Monday. Any way you shake it, it's a Very Tough one to hit. I say make a strong but small play and hope you figured right rather than plunder big bucks trying to hit this one. There will be many large pools going for it and we can easily get yet another giant carryover for Wednesday. We have another terrific 10-race card on Labor Day and I look for some more big pay offs. In 5 of the 10 races our first position Top Pick is far from being the favorite .we'll take our shot and hope the stars are lined up right. Good luck on Labor Day and anytime you're At The Track! ...

We got $492 for hitting 5 of 6. Yep, we had all the others, including the long shot winner in the eighth. I expect the Friday afternoon P6 Pool to Exceed $500,000 and it looks (famous last words) like one not all that difficult. We'll venture $32 and hope we've got the right ones. The fourth appears the most difficult and we're using four horses there. Our Free Friday Long Shot comes in the Fifth ..#2 Battle School at 15:1! 7 Plays for Wednesday at Del Mar - Last week at Del Mar was fun and profitable, some nice big wins and a couple very close misses, including the Pick Six on Sunday, where we got 5 of 6 on our $48 Play. Terrific Racing Continues at Del Mar! - If you're a horse player, you just have to love the racing at Del Mar this year! Huge prices everyday in all the different exotics! One day it's in the Exactas and Trifectas and the next in the Doubles, Pick Threes and Pick Fours. Thursday's card is no exception .I expect the Third, Fourth, Sixth, and Eighth races to produce very attractive pay outs. Let's look a little deeper: Race Three - It's a short field of seven, but there's one very long shot who has a good chance to make the Exacta or Trifecta. Certainly a worthy play. Race Four - A terrific wagering race! Eleven starters, including two VERY Big Price long shots, and my first position Top Pick should go off about 5:1 definitely a race to play. Race Six - Courtside and Rosario (Best Horse & Best Jockey) "should" win .but ..we've got two others at big prices who "could" win. We'll swing out $27 and see. $239,000+ Pick Six Carryover at Del Mar - Sunday was a day of long shots winners and many near misses the good news is it resulted in a LARGE pick six carryover which will certainly exceed $1,000,000 if not $2,000,000! My baseline P6 Ticket for the big carryover is a $24 play, sticking with the bet a little Win a Lot strategy. This pick six is a very tough one to hit. To cover all the potential winners, I think a minimum ticket will be $720 and that includes 2 stand out singles! Whoever can correctly select the winners in races Four and Seven will bring home the big prize on Wednesday, as almost any horse in each of these races could hit the stripe first! It may be a good day to get one of our Customized Pick Six selections. It only cost $25 and you e-mail me the amount you want to venture and I'll give you the plays..it's all on our website. Good Racing at Del Mar on Sunday - It's another good day of racing at Del Mar on Sunday. The best wagering races appear to be the final five, as the first four look a little chalky (like Saturday). Let's look a little deeper on a few of them: Race Five: A very contentious race which could easily spring a surprise; however, I think we have three of them separated from the pack, leaving out one of the favorites. All we need is an honest pace to cash our $54 Tri Play. Race Eight: This one brings one of my favorite wagering scenarios ie Two of them look much better than the rest of a large field ..well four of the long shots figure pretty darn close and I really like our $60 wager here. Race Nine: Another large field, so I expect a large trifecta payoff here to finish the day. You just have to love a race where the favorite is 7:2 or more! We have Three very live long shots in this race. Another $60 Play. First Post on Sunday is 2:00pm PDT. Good Luck!...

Good Saturday Card at Hollywood Park - We had a very good Friday night at Hollywood Park winning two trifecta's, the early BalWaL P4 and the Place Pick All! Unfortunately, our FREE FRIDAY LONG SHOT scratched just before the race. We'll try and make it 3 straight wins come next Friday evening. Saturday's 9-race card is a good one. Race Three is the Grade 2 Jim Murray Handicap, but it's not much of a betting race. Race Four has a lot slower horses, but is a terrific betting race and I'll be playing two 15:1 shots in my four horse trifecta box (a $24 play). We'll try and repeat our Place Pick All win with a $36 play and venture the same amount on our baseline P6 ticket. My other four Plays: R2 -- Early Pick Four ($24) R6-- Late Pick Four ($37.50) R7-- EBX ($60) R7-- Tri Play ($54) R9-- Tri Play ($60) Good luck on Saturday and anytime you're At The Track...

Night Racing at Hollywood 7:05pm PDT First Post - We are back under the lights for night racing at Hollywood Park on Friday. The action starts at 7:05pm PDT, but I can easily pass the first three races. The action picks up through the balance of the card with good wagering opportunities in races 4-5-6-8. We're going for our third FREE FRIDAY LONG SHOT winner in a row in the fourth race. We like #1 Nitro Active at 15:1! The Derby is Here! - The long awaited day of the Kentucky Derby is finally here! What a full, fun, and hopefully very profitable day is anticipated. It all starts with a First Post at 7:30am PDT at Churchill Downs. All thirteen of the races at Churchill Downs are handicapped giving you Lot's to choose from on Derby Day. I particularly like the four separate P4's being offered and the fact we can play them for 50 cents if desired. You can also make 50 cent trifecta plays, allowing us to add an extra long shot here and there at an affordable cost. I am more excited about this year's Derby than I've been in 5 years. Why? My first two Top Picks are long shots! Can't wait for Saturday afternoon! Good luck on Derby Day! As many of you know, Our FREE FRIDAY LONG SHOT (Carbonite) won again today (second week in a row) paying $18.40, $6.80, and $5.40. It made for another winning day with At The Track. Let's carry our good fortune to Kentucky!...

Kentucky Derby Madness - Madness , yes, only two days to go and I can't leave any one of 6 out! Perhaps by midnight I'll be down to one or two, but in any case I'm boxing these 6 and 5 of the 6 are $20 horses or more! I'm convinced, this will be a great Derby Day! The Kentucky Derby is fantastic and the under card is wonderful! In addition to honing it down to the precious few, I always think it a terrific bet to All the Derby in one or two P3's, as with 20 horses going, about anything CAN happen. Will we hit another $10,000 P3, a $10,000 superfecta, or a $9,000 P4? All I can say is the potential is there! I feel very confident we're in for a very nice pay day. If you haven't purchased our Kentucky Derby Package or better yet our Special Triple Crown Package, please do it now! Friday's card at Hollywood Park will begin at 1:00pm (the only non-night Friday of the meet). I'm going with two separate trifecta plays in the sixth. One will be a $36 play and the other $42. Honing In on The Kentucky Derby - Less than a week to go for my favorite day in horse playing. Yes, the Kentucky Derby rolls around next Saturday 5-7-11. Why do I like it so much? It's the only time you have an extra $40,000,000 go into the mutual pools from players who are not players. At least that much goes in from people who don''t know a horse from a mule, it's the excitement of the DERBY! There is so much uneducated money going after the pot at the end of the rainbow, that even when favorites run in, the payoffs run almost double a normal day. This goes for almost the whole card. What a great day to play the races! I generally go about 3 times the amount of a normal day .you only have to catch one good one for a terrific day! Races One & Six on Sunday - The BalWalers were smiling on Saturday as our $20 Pick Five play returned $205.50. For Sunday we'll take the BalWal (Bet a little Win a Lot) to the early Pick Four, a $24 play. Sunday presents a pretty interesting card At Hollywood Park. In addition to the BalWal, we'll play a $45 late Pick Four, a $60 TBX in the first, and a $120 TBX in the sixth. The sixth appears to carry the potential of the big pay of the day. For the PPA we'll invest another $32, as we've barely missed two big payouts and it's time to hit it. In the P6, our baseline ticket will have four singles and we'll use four horses in each of the fifth and sixth. Good luck on Sunday, as we'll try to add some dollars to our small win on Saturday!...

Night Racing at Hollywood on Friday - We'll be under the lights on Friday as night racing returns at Hollywood Park. The First Post is 7:05pm PDT. Not many long shots to consider on Friday night, but we believe the best comes in Race Six with #8 Lemou at 12:1. We're using him in our TBX in the sixth. Horizontal appears the best approach for Friday. In addition to our TBX in the sixth, we'll play the 50cent P5, and both the early (races 2-3-4-5) and late (races 5-6-7-8) 50 cent Pick Fours. We'll also throw down $36 on the Pick Six and $32 on the Place Pick All. Good luck on Friday night and anytime you're At The Track!...

Two Key Races on Thursday - Thursday's races at Santa Anita appear a chalky start to the week, excluding two key gambling races, the first and the sixth. Each of these two hold substantial potential and we'll take a closer look: Race One -- Here we find a dozen 2 year old maiden first time starters. I expect a good price here and have identified six horses for my Trifecta Box (all good prices). In addition, I'll "All" this leg in my early Pick Three. Race Six -- Another big field of eleven with not a lot of separation top to bottom! We'll play $60 here in a bold trifecta attempt and also "All" this race in our late Pick Three. Friday at Santa Anita - From a gambling perspective, I wasn't too impressed with the first 5 races on Thursday at Santa Anita. In fact I rated the card a 5 on a scale of one to ten; however, I did like the last 3 races. We skipped the first five races then played 2 tri's, a superfecta, and a small Pick Three over the final three races, nailing all of them on small plays and netted $862.82 to again start the new week on the Plus side of the ledger! I'll play $290 of the winnings back on Friday's Santa Anita card: R1 -- $16 BalWaL P4 races 1-2-3-4 R1 -- $36 Place Pick All R3 -- $36 Baseline Pick Six Ticket Play R4 -- $72 Tri Play R4 -- $100 P3 races 4-5-6 R5 -- $30 Pick four covering races 5-6-7-8 Good luck on Friday and anytime you're At The Track...

Sunday's card looks particularly tough in the Pick Six sequence, especially races Five and Nine. We'll go with singles in the fourth , sixth, seventh and eighth and spread out in the 2 tough legs and hope the big horses hold on. The Fourth Has Potential Value - At Santa Anita on Saturday, the fourth race appears the one promising the most value. When the morning line favorite is 7:2, there are 12 horses in the race, and the worst in it could win, you've got a race with a lot of potential. I'm using 6 horses in that race in my early P4 (our BalWaL) and "Alling" the race in two other Pick Three plays. I'll also play a $24 TBX in the fourth using my two Top Picks and two of my favorite long shots. We've got a lot riding on the fourth on Saturday! Ooh so close! - I'd hate to know the number of times, I've missed a large win based on bad information. Well, add one more to the number. On Wednesdays selections, I first had Position A as my single in the fifth race, but I replaced him with El Scorpio after my late barn report indicated they were quite sure the main track would be sloppy. Well, although they did go off the turf , the main track was fast. It cost us $27,000, as Position A did win in a romp and we had to settle for the $171 for 5 of 6. All in all, we had a good winning day but ooh so close to a big one! I'm playing a little light on Thursday at Santa Anita, although it's a pretty decent card. Good Card on Sunday at Santa Anita - It's a very good card on Sunday at Santa Anita. Each race presents a dominant horse, often the setting for some very big prices. 3rd race is the key at Santa Anita - The Third Race plays predominantly in our game plan for Saturday, as I'm using Race Three in Pick Three plays beginning and ending in that race. In other words, I'm looking for a double digit price out of that leg. I'm also looking for a couple favorites to get beaten in races 5-6-7, thus a larger than normal P3 play there as well. $126K Pick 6 Carryover at Santa Anita - The races were tough at Santa Anita on Sunday, resulting in a large $126,305 Pick Six Carryover. I expect the Thursday Pick Six Pool to be $1,000,000. Although I don't expect any huge price winners, most of the races are very contentious and a tough one to hit. I'll go with my $30 Baseline Pick Six play using 5 horses in the third, three in the fourth, and singles in each of the last four races. In addition, I'll play $36 at the Place Pick All, have a $40 early Pick Four Play, $27 trifectas in the first and fifth races and $36 trifectas in the sixth, seventh, eighth. Weekend racing looks good at Santa Anita - Six of the nine races on at Santa Anita on Saturday are excellent wagering opportunities. I'll comment on a few: Race One: When the morning line favorite is 7:2, you've generally got a good wagering opportunity and such is the case in race one. I'll venture a $27 trifecta play using my Top Two Picks and a good long shot on Top. In the second position, I'll add in my next favorite long shot, then add in my third position Top Pick in the show position. Race Four This is an excellent "All" leg for doubles, Pick Threes and Pick Fours as you are "Almost" guaranteed a double digit winner in this race. Race Five The 5 and 6 look way better than any of the rest in this race, but going 6 1/2 fulongs we may see any of four others get in the mix. I'm going $60 here in my Trifecta Play. Race 7 I think an excellent race, as I've got four horses in this one who will pay double digits .another $60 Trifecta Play ...

Very good President's Day racing - This racing week ends on Presidents Day (Monday) with the best race card of the week. We'll see nine races with good fields and very contentious races! I'm going with Pick Three in races 1-2-3 and races 6-7-8. We'll have Trifectas in races 4 through 8 including some very nice priced horses (according to the morning line). It looks to be our fourth winning day in row. A quick look back at Sunday: The card turned out to be pretty chalky but we did return a nice profit. - Our 3rd straight P4 BalWal Win - Our $24 Baseline P6 ticket had all six correct for $324 - 8 of 9 again on the PPA narrowly missing another large payoff Good luck on Monday and anytime you're At The Track!...

Good nine race card at Santa Anita - It's a Very Good 9-race card for Sunday at Santa Anita! Seven of the 9 races have fields of 8 or more, twelve expected to go in the fourth and ninth. It looks like a good day to make some money. Our BalWaLers left for home happy again, we hit the P4 with our small BalWaL(Bet a little Win a Lot) play for the second consecutive day. On Saturday our $20 Play returned $287. I always like having a lot of horses in the last leg on a rainy day because if you get a couple late scratches and the favorite wins, you collect multiple times on the Pick four play, as was the case. I think we have some good winning plays for Sunday and plan to go out a winner this week! Orders placed tonight will be filled tonight, we always recommend getting your order in early. Good Luck on Sunday and anytime you're At The Track!...

Race 3 looks good at Santa Anita - After last week, I got a lot of comments recommending we just play the Last Race of the day. Well, it would have worked out good Last Week, but this is a new week and hope springs eternal! The best wagering race for Thursday at Santa Anita is definitely Race Three. When my top Pick is 7:2 or more, I like the race. What's more the first time starter #2 Ghost Ride looks very interesting at 8:1. Here are my plays to start the new week: R1-- $32 PPA R3-- $60 Trifecta R3-- $36 P6 R5-- $36 Trifecta R5-- $20 BalWaL (50 cent P4) R7-- $60 Trifecta R8-- $27 Trifecta Good Luck!...

$128,667 Pick Six Carryover at Santa Anita - Santa Anita saw big prices in all but the final leg of the P6 on Saturday ($21.40, $18.60, $10.60, $12.20, $47.20, $6.00) resulting in a large , $128,667, carryover into Sunday's races! I didn't come up with many long shots for Sunday's card, but two 8:1 shots good enough to use in our $36 Baseline Pick Six play. In addition, I'll play a $20 BalWaL P4 covering the first four races. Will go $32 in my PPA play and have $27 Tri plays and $36 Superfecta plays for each of the fourth, sixth, and seventh races. Will close the day with a $60 five-horse TBX in the ninth. $337 will play everything we have for Sunday and I believe it will return a nice profit. Good luck on Sunday and anytime you're At The Track! Ron & Paul...

$68K Pick 6 Carryover at Santa Anita - We said yesterday, the card looked good for prices, and we were not mistaken! Five of the 6 Pick Six legs had double digit winners resulting in a large Pick Six Carryover for Friday at Santa Anita ($68,093 carried over should get the pool to near $1,000,000!) Both of our long shots got into the money (#11 at 6:1 finished first and #9 at 33:1 finished third) in the final race allowing our winning $36 Trifecta to bail us out for the day. Friday's card doesn't look nearly so tough and I'm fairly comfortable with our 3 singles on our $48 Baseline Pick Six ticket. The races with the biggest payoff potential appear to be the sixth and eighth so . we'll be playing both Trifectas and Superfectas in those two races. I also have a small Tri play ($36) in the fifth where I have a long shot I really like. Our Free Friday Long Shot sure hasn't shown much in a very long time, but this race at 7 furlongs could very well be the one. I'm going with #5 Warrens Match...

Longshots to starts the week at Santa Anita - I'm playing Trifectas in each of the last five races at Santa Anita on Thursday. Why? A good long shot in the fourth. Two good long shots in each of races five, six, seven, and eight. Four of them will be $36 plays and I'll venture $60 in the seventh race. Our BalWaL will be a 50c Pick Four covering the last four races, it's a $25 play and includes four of our long shot selections. It seems we always start the week with a nice winning day. Let's do it again on Thursday! Orders received this evening will be processed upon receipt. We'll also be sending late orders right up to the 1:00pm First Post on Thursday. Good Luck!...

Best card of the Meet at Santa Anita - Saturday is Santa Anita's best card of the Meet. Ten excellent races with full fields and loads of long shots. I particularly like the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth, where my first position Top Pick is far from the favorite in each of these races. No one will hit the Pick Six on Saturday, even though #3 Twirling Candy will be 4:5 in the ninth. Pick the ones you like, but keep the ticket small. 5 of 6 could pay very well on Saturday. Orders received on Friday evening will be filled on Friday evening (it's always good to get our selections early). We'll also be processing late orders until 12:30 on Saturday. Good Luck on what looks to be a truly great day of racing at Santa Anita!...
